PONDTABBS® & PONDTABBS® JR. 10-14-8

PONDTABBS®

Introduced in 1991 after approximately two years of research and field testing this product immediately became the standard for aquatic fertilization. PONDTABBS® water soluble tablets combine controlled nitrogen release with rapid nutrient availability in a form which provides optimum feeding for all of your aquatic plants. When used as directed this product will not effect algae growth or have any negative effect on fish. It is recommended that you feed your plants monthly during the growing season at a rate of one tablet per gallon of soil. When the water temperature rises above 72 degrees feeding should be increased to every two weeks. Insert the PONDTABBS® with your finger deep into the soil three inches from the crown of the plant. When using multiple tablets, space the uniformly around the plant. Nutrients will release within five minutes.

PONDTABBS® are available in consumer packaging of 20, 60, 300 and 1000 tablet bottles.

PONDTABBS® JR.

PONDTABBS® JR. is the same formula and is approximately 20% the size of regular PONDTABBS® This product is designed for use in marginal and other small aquatic plants that require less fertilizer.

PONDTABBS® JR’s are 250 tablets per bottle.

PONDTABBS PLUS® 10-14-8 with HUMATES

In our continuing effort to bring improved products to the aquatic trade we established a relationship with an outstanding company that produces a very high grade of humic acid complexes, known as humates. These humates are a highly decomposed organic material that is millions of years old and contains extraordinary properties that are important to plant growth. Initially, we sold this product under the name SEAMATE® which you will find on this site. We have since, added the basic material to our PONDTABBS® formula and have been testing this new formula for the past two years. The growers who have used this have been getting outstanding results and comment on the larger and more vibrant blooms, as well as, stronger plants and tubers. Essentially, these humates increase the availability of the nutrients in the fertilizer making them easier for the plants to take up. Creating natural microbial activity enhances plant development and resistance to stress. We anticipate that in time we will see much stronger tubers that are producing more divisions for the commercial growers.

PONDTABBS PLUS® are available in bottles of 60 and 300 tablets.

PONDTABBS PLUS Humates SUPERTABBS®

The extraordinary success of PONDTABBS PLUS® led to requests for a larger tablet specifically for large plantings and large plants, such as Victoria, Gigantea and Tropicals. In response to this demand we have developed PONDTABBS PLUS SUPERTABBS®, a 13.5 Gram version of our original product. This product is proving to be both an economical and labor saving fertilizer, especially for the large display gardens.

Available in Tubs of 350 Tabs and Boxes of 1400 Tablets

PLANTABBS BARLEY LOGS®

This new product replaces the barley product we originally introduced and marketed some six years ago. We are quite excited with product since we are now able to accomplish some of the elements we couldn’t do previously. This product will come completely finished within the mesh bag and we have inserted a foam tube in the center that aids the wicking within the log. The outer portion of the log has elongated straw which helps speed the degradation of the straw. Above all, we expect to bring this to the market at a lower price.

BARLEY LOGS® will be available in cases of 24 and in sets of 2

LANDON AQUATIC FERTILIZER 7803 12-20-8

This granular formula, utilizing 'binary’ technology has been in use for over twenty-five years. Developed by world renown hybridizer, Kenneth Landon, this product has produced some of the most beautiful plants ever grown. After some 20 years, Ken agreed to release this formula for general use and we were asked to make it market ready and to introduce it to the trade.

LANDON 7803 is a combination of both organic and inorganic ingredients that work in conjunction with one another to create spectacular results. It is a very ‘hot’ formula that requires very strict adherence to the directions for use. These instructions can be seen on this site. In using this formula we suggest that you combine the appropriate amount of fertilizer with soil and fill your container three quarters full. Add the tuber and cover with(unfertilized) soil. Cover with gravel and place in your pond.

Typically, this fertilization method should be sufficient for 60 to 90 days. If late season fertilization is needed, use tablets per manufacturers instructions. This is the only fertilizer used in the International Waterlily Certified Collection and Repository located in San Angelo, Texas, where Ken is the Horticulturist.

After trials at Longwood Botanical Gardens in Pennsylvania it is now the fertilizer of choice for growing show stopping specimens.

LANDON 7803 is available in 2 oz Packets, 3 lb Tubs and 25 lb Pails

Recommended ratios for using LANDON AQUATIC FERTILIZER:

Professional Maximum Strength 90 Days 2.5 oz. Fertilizer to 1 gal. Soil (128 oz. Ratio 1 – 50)
This ratio is used to increase soil mass or pot size on completely undisturbed rooted, potted nymphaea for optimum results.
Full Strength 60 Days 2.0 oz. Fertilizer to 1 gal. Soil (128 oz. Ratio 1 – 64)
This ratio is used for nymphaea repotting using recently dug or uprooted plants with minor to extensive root injury.
General Purpose Strength 45 Days 1.5 oz. Fertilizer to 1 gal soil (128 oz. Ratio 1 – 85)
This ratio is used for nymphaea repotting emphasizing germinating tropical tubers from resting state and including germinating juvenile rhizomes.
Seedling Starter Mix Strength 1.0 oz. Fertilizer to 1 gal soil (128 oz. Ratio 1 – 128)
Marginal Mix Strength 0.5 oz. Fertilizer to 1 gal soil (128 oz. Ratio 1 – 250)
Professional, Full and General Purpose Strength ratio mixes are enhanced and recommended to be used in the lower 75% of the planting container. Top dressing, the remaining 25% of the container volume, should be unfertilized soil. Best results are realized in any fertilizer to soil mix with ambient water temperature ranging from 60° to 90°. The use of LANDON 7803 fertilizer enables the water gardener and the professional grower to obtain exceptional plant production with the minimum of soil mass per plant compared to other mixes. Large to average size tropical nynphaea perform with excellent results using 10 to 20 gallons of fertilized soil. Small tropical or hardy lilies perform with excellent results using 5 – 10 gallons of fertilized soil. Marginal aquatics in one gallon containers often remain in excellent condition through- out the season (5 months). All water lilies needing additional fertilization to lengthen their season duration or which have become pot-bound should either be repotted in Professional or Full Strength ratios or use a follow-up regime including PONDTABBS® as per the manufacturers suggestions.

A balance blend of seaweed, trace mineral, carbon and organic acid in a water soluble powder that provides vital nutrients for plant growth and development. This product has a unique carbon matrix, specifically humic acid, which improves the ability of the plant to take in vital nutrients. This combined with rich natural seaweed provides a excellent safe natural plant nutrition product.

For overall plant growth the application of SeaMate® will:

The building blocks of SeaMate® is Menefee Humate, a very rich organic composted material that is thought to be over 70 million years old. Because of the geological force of nature and because it was formed on a fresh water sea this material has an extremely low salt content, thus very environmentally safe and friendly. This is a water soluble powder.
